In collaboration with Gursimrat Singh (Photography)…
Wedding planning is, hands-down, as overwhelming as much as it is fun. With so much on the to-do list and with everything more important than the other, missing out is not an option. But since wedding is once-in-a-lifetime event, perfection too is non-negotiable. So be it your own wedding or one that you have to attend, you can always choose to look amazing. Read on to know how to can you rock wedding looks this season…
What worked for me?
Taking inspiration from WedMeGood, I created a look that is easy to pull off during the season. Giving a comfortable switch from lehangas; gowns are easy to carry. Besides, a gown does not essentially come under the ethic category, eliminating the need for heavy jewellery including bangles. This takes away half the weight you could have been carrying in the heat otherwise.
I was instantly drawn towards the combination of wine and gold while I was getting this gown made. Hopping from one shop to another, I chose five different fabrics that got into the making of this outfit. Recognising the regality of the colours, I wore a pair of statement stone-earrings. I added wine colour to my nails and lips to place the entire look together.
What can work for you?
Beautiful attire is definitely the most crucial aspect of your wedding fashion. If you are the one getting married, try checking WedMeGood for an array of options to choose from. The website can also help you find suitable jewellery and accessories to go with your outfit. To complete the look, you can book a professional makeup artist in Mumbai, Delhi or any of the cities you want, through the website to work magic on you. You can also Download the wedding planning app.
Like me, you can choose to customize your outfit to fit your style. Here’s a rundown of how to do it:
- Have clarity about the design you want for your outfit. Since it’ll be your brainchild, you must know exactly how you want it.
- Explain the design to your tailor and ask him the length and width of each fabric required for your outfit.
- Hit up a fabric store; explore different patterns and colours and buy what works the best for you.
- Acquaint your tailor with the exact placement of all the fabrics in your outfit.
Note – If you’re planning on customization, make sure you have enough time before the wedding just in case the outfit needs some last-minute fittings.
I’d love to see what you can do with that creative streak in you. When you create a look that you can carry to the next summer wedding you attend, mail it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or upload your picture on instagram with the hashtag #SummerWeddingwithBonElegance.
